In a letter to policyholders dated June 22nd, Cigna states it’s currently in contract negotiations with Community Health System. If the two sides cannot reach an agreement by July 15, the following hospitals will no longer be in-network with Cigna:
- Clovis Community Medical Center
- Community Regional Medical Center
- Fresno Heart and Surgical Hospital
This announcement comes within days of an announcement that Community Health System had returned to the Blue Shield network.
Both sides have agreed to continue negotiating.
