The JHMB website is now announcing that the Aetna PPO contract for employees and early retirees has been extended through August 31, 2026.

The Fresno Unified School District (FUSD)’s Joint Health Management Board (JHMB) is reporting that Aetna and UC Health Systems are currently in negotiations about Aetna’s PPO plan.
If no agreement is reached, members on Aetna PPO plans could lose in-network access to UC Health Systems beginning August 25, 2026.
I have not been able to independently verify this in media; however, JHMB is neither carrier, broker, nor medical provider. As such, they have no particular incentive to report this erroneously. I will continue to monitor.
