The Fresno Unified School District (FUSD)’s Joint Health Management Board (JHMB) is reporting that Aetna and Adventist Health are currently in negotiations about Aetna’s Medicare Advantage PPO plan.
If no agreement is reached, members on Aetna Medicare Advantage PPO plans could lose in-network access to Adventist Health beginning October 1, 2026.
I have not been able to independently verify this in media; however, JHMB is neither carrier, broker, nor medical provider. As such, they have no particular incentive to report this erroneously. I will continue to monitor.
Note: The Aetna negotiations with Community Health Centers and with St. Agnes Medical Center, referenced on the JMHB Connect website, have both been resolved.
