St. John’s Health is partnering with Blue Cross of Idaho, the Gem State’s largest health insurer. Starting September 1, Idaho residents on Blue Cross of Idaho plans can access in-network care at the Jackson, Wyoming-based hospital.
This is a new contract, not a renewal.
Hospital administrators believe the move will help St. John’s provide care to over 1,700 patients in Teton County, Idaho, on Blue Cross of Idaho plans. It may also allow St. John’s to accept more people in Idaho who are on Affordable Care Act — or Obamacare — marketplace plans.
