Certain Baptist Health patients are expected see a shift in insurance coverage after Cigna Healthcare terminated its agreement with the health system, set to take effect June 23, 2026. This means that care received on or after June 24, 2026, will be considered out-of-network.
Baptist Health says it made significant concessions during negotiations and offered Cigna terms it believes align with other plans in the market — but Cigna declined. They will continue to keep patients and the community updated on their microsite.
These negotiations include Wolfson Children’s Hospital. However, Nemours Children’s Health is not a Baptist Health entity and will not be out-of-network after this contract terminates. Baptist Health is cautioning Nemours Children’s patients that any hospital-based care received at Wolfson will be treated as out-of-network care.
