Lakeland Regional Health and UnitedHealthcare are currently in contract negotiations, with the current contracts scheduled to begin expiring on September 30, 2026.
If no contract agreement is reached, Lakeland Regional will be out-of-network for UnitedHealthcare members with commercial and employer-sponsored plans beginning October 1, 2026. Lakeland Regional will be out of network for UnitedHealthcare members with Medicare Advantage plans beginning January 1, 2027.
The current contract negotiation does not include UnitedHealthcare Medicaid plans. They will remain in-network with no changes anticipated at this time.
There will also be no impact to services performed by non-Lakeland Regional Health physicians at the Lakeland Regional Health Surgery Center. They will remain in-network.
