The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) and UnitedHealthcare have reached an agreement on their network contracts, except for the Preferred Care Network (PCN).

The University of Miami UHealth and UnitedHealthcare have reached an agreement for student health plans, but negotiations continue for most other plan types.
June 10, 2026
UHealth (University of Miami Health System) and UnitedHealthcare are currently negotiating a renewal of their current provider network contract, which expires on July 31, 2026.
If the parties are unable to reach an agreement, the following UnitedHealthcare plans will be out-of-network with UHealth effective August 1, 2026.
- Employer-sponsored commercial plans
- Individual/family (IFP) commercial plans
- UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Florida (Medicaid)
This negotiation does not affect the Medicare Advantage Preferred Care Network. UHealth is already out-of-network for all other UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans.
Both UnitedHealthcare and UHealth have prepared informational microsites for affected members, which will be updated as the negotiations continue.
