The contract between Scripps Health and Anthem expired on December 31, 2024, but the parties agreed to an extension while continuing negotiations. That extension will expire on September 30, 2026.
Unless the contract is extended or renewed, Scripps Health will be out-of-network with Anthem on October 1, 2026.
Covered California health plans were not covered by the extension and are already out-of-network with Scripps Health.
