The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, The James Cancer Center and Ohio State-affiliated physicians will be out of Humana’s insurance network Oct. 1 after the insurer moved to end its contract with the health system, according to a news release.
The change will affect patients covered by Humana Medicare Advantage and Humana Healthy Horizons Medicaid plans. Medigap coverage will not be affected, according to Ohio State.
Both sides appear to be open to negotiations.
